heres the USX guts - no trades as yet and man USX.co.nz make it difficult if you want to trade anything ( I note Skyline is listed there and a few other potentially interesting companies)

Sport & Education Ltd. (SEC) will list on USX this morning at 11.23 am.
SEC, via its 100% subsidiary, owns the quality Pegasus Golf course situated just north of Christchurch.
Mr. Sam Huo is the Chair and the Major shareholder. Mr. Huo is Auckland based Chinese Born and a New Zealand citizen.
Mr. Huo said “this is a very proud day for our family and our company. We want to develop our group into a very significant business.
We have no specific acquisition targets at this stage however we are on the lookout for opportunities. “
“Our focus is in the growth sectors of Sports, Property and Education. “
“We will keep the investors informed as we make progress. “, said Mr. Huo
Mr. Brent King, Independent Director of SEC and Managing Director of Investment Research Group Ltd. the advisor for the listing said “This is an exciting time for SEC. The principal asset is a prestige asset and allows the business to consider a number of growth options. “

i know you touched in General Finance Ltd earlier in the thread.

Here’s Mr Brent King’s link to Mr Grant Baker ( you know, the Turners TRA Chairman and recent no show at the AGM of that company)..... and last year they bought the above small second tier finance company together....hmmm....

I reckon percy should be a wee bit concerned with that link up.....

link is old NBR and not blocked.

Always surprised at Brent King's survival.
Was surprised Grant Baker still associates with him.
The Business Bakery certainly turned Dorchester into something useful. How they managed to get Bartel Holdings to agree to the Turners takeover was a work of art.Interesting enough Bartel Holdings remain a major shareholder of TRA.
The greatest challenge was Dorcester Property, which owned a number of third rate properties. How Paul Bryne sorted it out, and returned capital to shareholders was incredible..[A lot of people don't know that.]
I do not trust "born again" financiers.Made money with Rod Petricevic [lucky] and lost money with Alan Hawkins [stupidity].Have always avoided Eric Watson.
always wondered which/whom are worst, exfinanciers or politicians.?
Perhaps John Key will be the exception.?

Apparently Drek can't even refund the Magpie Kickstarter individuals who loaned him money (free of interest).

Shareholders and those watching this company would be very wise to consider the history of one John Sorenson, director of TRU, when weighing up what they are doing in this stock.

NBR reporting that Stephen Franks is looking to ban Mr Sorenson for 10 years: https://www.nbr.co.nz/story/banning-...erchant-banker

The notice, filed under section 383 of the act, cites comments from Justice John Fogarty describing actions by Mr Sorensen as “opportunistic, deliberate, unfair and unprincipled … an abuse of his fiduciary obligations as a director” and “improper.”

Could someone please post this up on the other site where the spruikers love to congregate?

A few more names to add to the blacklist. Remember the company was selling "Manuka Bonds" which were , apparently, only ever going to go up in price as the honey aged. Whoops!

I do wonder who that person with name suppression is. Hmmmm...
