  • Labour - A Record of Transparency

This new Labour Government stated they would be one of the most transparent of all. So I thought it would be good to have a place to list all the 'transparent' things they have done.
I'll kick off with a couple of recent ones.

    1) Meeting behind closed doors with Google's chief Lawyer and refusing to release any information on what was discussed or any other details, claiming Chatam House rules priviledges.

    2) Paying out $370M in treaty settlement top ups, but failing to tell anyone. Only when found out by reporters did angry Andy mention anything. His excuse, ''e didn't want to release it prior to Christmas so it wouldn't seem like we were trying to hide it'. Perhaps not releasing it at all in the 7 months after Christmas made you look like you were trying to hide it Andy.

Transparent? Ha! I'm sure there's plenty more good examples.

It's not Labour in this one but probably still relevant. NZ First failing to disclose close links between the party and the deputy Police commissioner they're investigating! Poor form!http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/poli...id=app-android

Lets just park this one here too shall we. Admittedly not so much the Governments fault as such, although lets see.

Well that turned out to be a bit embarrassing for National didn't it. Maybe Bridges should have done a bit of nosing around before he tried to pull the trigger.

The leak still hasn't been identified and certainly didn't sound like it was anyone of standing.

I see Cindy is taking the 757 by herself to Narau. That's going down well.

You couldn't make this stuff up.
"To the best of my recollection, um, ah, ah, I haven't, um, I haven't used my, um I've answered um OIA, ah, ah, OIA responses and personal, um and parliamentary questions correctly and to the best of my recollection, um, ah, you know, that, that has, that's what I've done."
The Minister of confusion, incompetence and lying. Curran is absolutely National's best asset at the moment.
Time to let her go Cindy.

Firstly, calling her 'Cindy' is derogatory and really lowers your standing.
It had to be someone within the National party, as per the level of detail. See how Bridges has gone quiet on this all of a sudden.

Greg O Connor absolutely denied driving erratically, until he was shown the footage, only then did he confess. Very poor form.
And it seems Twyford was the last to know Kiwibuild targets were NEVER going to be met.
Voted in (debateably) on empty promises.
